Airbus A380-841 MSN121, British Airways G-XLEB, operating BA32 Hong Kong – London Heathrow (depart Hong Kong 15th June) diverted via Moscow Domodedovo early this morning due to a medical emergency on board.
Airbus A380-841 MSN253, Singapore Airlines 9V-SKY, was delivered Toulouse – Singapore late tonight as SQ8898. The aircraft is in 6F/78J/44W/343Y configuration, becoming the fourth aircraft in this configuration featuring new First and Business Class products. It carries standard Singapore Airlines livery. This the 23rd A380 delivered to the airline and brings the active fleet up to 19 aircraft.
Airbus A380-842 MSN014, QANTAS VH-OQA, operated QF127 Sydney – Hong Kong this morning, however the return QF128 has been delayed overnight. It is not clear whether this is due to a crew or a weather issue.
Dr Peters Group today confirmed that after failing to find operators to lease former Singapore Airlines Airbus A380s MSN003 and MSN005 the aircraft will be parted out at Lourdes Tarbes by VAS Aero Service. The engines have already been returned to Rolls Royce.

Portuguese wet-lease specialist Hi Fly today confirmed that the first Singapore Airlines A380 it will acquire will be MSN006, currently Singapore Airlines 9V-SKC and which will become 9M-MIP to be operated by the company’s Maltese subsidiary Hi Fly Malta.
Airbus A380-842 MSN063, QANTAS VH-OQK, which has been under maintenance at Dubai since 16th May, positioned Dubai – Sydney this morning as QF6012. The aircraft has been repainted from QANTAS New Roo (2007) livery into QANTAS Silver Roo (2016) livery.
Airbus A380-842 MSN015, QANTAS VH-OQB, operated the Sydney – Singapore sector or QF1 Sydney – Singapore – London Heathrow this afternoon, however the onward sector to London Heathrow has been delayed overnight. This was due to minimum rest requirements for the UK based cabin crew for this sector who had been delayed into Singapore due to late running QF2 London Heathrow – Singapore services.
Following the technical issue it encountered on 27th May, Airbus A380-842 MSN014, QANTAS VH-OQA, departed London Heathrow this morning operating yesterday’s delayed QF2 London Heathrow – Singapore – Sydney. The Singapore – Sydney sector operated as QF2D.
Airbus A380-842 MSN022, QANTAS VH-OQC, arrived into London Heathrow this morning as QF1 from Sydney and Singapore, then departed late this afternoon operating yesterday’s delayed QF2 London Heathrow – Singapore – Sydney as QF2D.
Emirates today announced that it will operate the EK59/EK60 Dubai – Hamburg rotation as a one-off Airbus A380 operation on 29th October and then switch the EK60/EK61 Dubai – Hamburg rotation from Boeing 777-300ER to Airbus A380 operation from 30th October. These will be the first scheduled A380 services to Hamburg.
Airbus A380-841 MSN008, Withdrawn Singapore Airlines 9V-SKD, which has been under maintenance at Singapore since 18th December 2017, undertook a 90 minute Singapore – Singapore test flight this afternoon as SQ8898.
Airbus A380-841 MSN048, Lufthansa D-AIMD, which has been receiving maintenance attention at Frankfurt since 20th May, positioned Frankfurt – Munich as LH9855 early this evening then returned to service operating LH730 Munich – Hong Kong.
