Airbus A380-842 MSN047, QANTAS VH-OQG, positioned Singapore – Dubai for maintenance as QF6013 this evening after arriving as QF81 from Sydney. There was no QF82 Singapore – Sydney service scheduled today.

Singapore Airlines A380 9V-SKY Delivered.

Airbus A380-841 MSN253, Singapore Airlines 9V-SKY, was delivered Toulouse – Singapore late tonight as SQ8898. The aircraft is in 6F/78J/44W/343Y configuration, becoming the fourth aircraft in this configuration featuring new First and Business Class products. It carries standard Singapore Airlines livery. This the 23rd A380 delivered to the airline and brings the active fleet up to 19 aircraft.

Emirates A380 A6-EOV Returns from Munich.

Following the technical issue it encountered on 12th June, Airbus A380-861 MSN206, Emirates A6-EOV, positioned Munich – Dubai this morning as EK2554.

Emirates A380 A6-EDG Returns to Service.

Airbus A380-861 MSN023, Emirates A6-EDG, which was in storage at Dubai World Central from 7th May – 8th June, returned to service this morning operating EK380 Dubai – Hong Kong.

QANTAS A380 VH-OQA Returns from Hong Kong.

Following its overnight delay, Airbus A380-842 MSN014, QANTAS VH-OQA, departed Hong Kong this morning operating yesterday’s delayed QF128 Hong Kong – Sydney as QF128D.

QANTAS A380 VH-OQA Overnight Hong Kong Delay.

Airbus A380-842 MSN014, QANTAS VH-OQA, operated QF127 Sydney – Hong Kong this morning, however the return QF128 has been delayed overnight. It is not clear whether this is due to a crew or a weather issue.

Emirates A380 A6-EDL Returns to Service.

Airbus A380-861 MSN046, Emirates A6-EDL, which was in storage at Dubai World Central from 2nd May – 3rd June, returned to service in the early hours of this morning operating EK354 Dubai – Singapore.

First Two A380s Confirmed for Part Out.

Dr Peters Group today confirmed that after failing to find operators to lease former Singapore Airlines Airbus A380s MSN003 and MSN005 the aircraft will be parted out at Lourdes Tarbes by VAS Aero Service. The engines have already been returned to Rolls Royce.

Emirates A380 A6-EEJ Returns to Service.

Airbus A380-861 MSN127, Emirates A6-EEJ, which was in storage at Dubai World Central from 4th May – 31st May, returned to service this afternoon operating EK149 Dubai – Amsterdam.

Hi Fly Confirms MSN006 as First A380.

Portuguese wet-lease specialist Hi Fly today confirmed that the first Singapore Airlines A380 it will acquire will be MSN006, currently Singapore Airlines 9V-SKC and which will become 9M-MIP to be operated by the company’s Maltese subsidiary Hi Fly Malta.

Airbus A380-842 MSN063, QANTAS VH-OQK, which has been under maintenance at Dubai since 16th May, positioned Dubai – Sydney this morning as QF6012. The aircraft has been repainted from QANTAS New Roo (2007) livery into QANTAS Silver Roo (2016) livery.

Emirates A380 A6-EDB Returns to Service.

Airbus A380-861 MSN013, Emirates A6-EDB, which was in storage at Dubai World Central from 25th April – 28th May, returned to service in the early hours of this morning operating EK420 Dubai – Perth.

QANTAS A380 VH-OQI Operates QF2 Service as QF2D.

Airbus A380-842 MSN055, QANTAS VH-OQI, operated this evening’s scheduled QF2 London Heathrow – Singapore – Sydney using callsign QF2D due to the late running of yesterday’s service.

QANTAS A380 VH-OQB QF1 Overnight Singapore Delay.

Airbus A380-842 MSN015, QANTAS VH-OQB, operated the Sydney – Singapore sector or QF1 Sydney – Singapore – London Heathrow this afternoon, however the onward sector to London Heathrow has been delayed overnight. This was due to minimum rest requirements for the UK based cabin crew for this sector who had been delayed into Singapore due to late running QF2 London Heathrow – Singapore services.

Following the technical issue it encountered on 27th May, Airbus A380-842 MSN014, QANTAS VH-OQA, departed London Heathrow this morning operating yesterday’s delayed QF2 London Heathrow – Singapore – Sydney. The Singapore – Sydney sector operated as QF2D.

Emirates to Introduce A380 Service to Hamburg.

Emirates today announced that it will operate the EK59/EK60 Dubai – Hamburg rotation as a one-off Airbus A380 operation on 29th October and then switch the EK60/EK61 Dubai – Hamburg rotation from Boeing 777-300ER to Airbus A380 operation from 30th October. These will be the first scheduled A380 services to Hamburg.

QANTAS A380 VH-OQA London Heathrow Technical Issue.

Airbus A380-842 MSN014, QANTAS VH-OQA, arrived into London Heathrow this morning as QF1 from Sydney and Singapore, however it was unable to operate tonight’s return QF2 due to a technical issue.

Lufthansa A380 D-AIMD Returns from Frankfurt.

Airbus A380-841 MSN048, Lufthansa D-AIMD, which has been receiving maintenance attention at Frankfurt since 20th May, positioned Frankfurt – Munich as LH9855 early this evening then returned to service operating LH730 Munich – Hong Kong.
