Airbus A380-861 MSN103, Emirates A6-EDW, entered service this morning operating EK97 Dubai – Rome Fiumicino. The flight departed almost three hours behind schedule and it is not clear whether A6-EDW was the scheduled aircraft or was pressed into service due to a technical issue with another member of the fleet. The aircraft is confirmed as being configured 14F/76J/427Y without crew rest areas.

EK412 Dubai – Sydney – Auckland was operated around 11 hours late this evening by Airbus A380 A6-EDD. As a result the aircraft will not arrive into Auckland tomorrow in time to be turned around and get back to Sydney before the Sydney curfew. Therefore tomorrow’s EK413 Auckland – Sydney – Dubai will be delayed until 27th August.

The EK147/EK148 Dubai – Amsterdam service switched to A380 operation today with A6-EDU operating the service.
