Emirates Announce A380 Service to London Gatwick.

Emirates today announced that the EK9/EK10 Dubai – London Gatwick rotation will switch from Boeing 777-300ER to A380 operation from 30th March 2014. This will be the first regular scheduled A380 service at London Gatwick.

QANTAS A380 VH-OQB Operates Delayed QF2.

Airbus A380-842 MSN015, QANTAS VH-OQB, operated yesterday’s delayed QF2 London Heathrow – Dubai – Sydney this evening as QF2D. The flight was delayed due to high winds at London Heathrow yesterday.

Emirates A380 A6-EES was delivered Finkenwerder – Dubai this evening as EK7380. This brings the A380 fleet up to 44 aircraft.

Emirates A380 A6-EER was delivered Finkenwerder – Dubai this evening as EK3046. This brings the A380 fleet up to 43 aircraft.

Following its diversion yesterday, / Airbus A380-861 MSN057, Emirates A6-EDO, departed London Heathrow this morning continuing the diverted EK216 Los Angeles – Dubai of 12th December routing London Heathrow – Dubai as EK216D.

Emirates A380 A6-EEP entered service this morning operating EK414 Dubai – Sydney. The aircraft is confirmed as being in 14F/76J/399Y configuration with the lower deck crew rest area.

Emirates A380 A6-EEV made its first flight from Toulouse today wearing test registration F-WWSA and positioned Toulouse – Finkenwerder for cabin fitting.

QANTAS A380 VH-OQF QF94 Brisbane Diversion.

QANTAS A380 VH-OQF operating QF94 Los Angeles – Melbourne (depart Los Angeles 6th December) diverted via Brisbane this morning. Departure from Los Angeles was delayed by several hours and crew would have run out of duty hours before reaching Melbourne.

British Airways A380 G-XLEB Training Day.

Following repair after its fuel leak on 7th December, A380 G-XLEB undertook a training day today positioning London Heathrow – Paris Vatry as BA9160, Paris Vatry – Chateauroux as BA9162 and then performing Chateauroux – Chateauroux circuits as BA9163/BA9164/BA9165/BA9166/BA9167/BA9168/BA9169. The aircraft then positioned Chateauroux – London Heathrow as BA9161.

British Airways A380 G-XLEB Heathrow Technical Issue.

Airbus A380-841 MSN121, British Airways G-XLEB, encountered a fuel leak at London Heathrow today meaning it was unable to operate the BA269/BA268 London Heathrow – Los Angeles rotation as scheduled. Boeing 747-400 G-BYGF substituted with a six and a half hour delay.
