British Airways A380 G-XLEC arrived into London Heathrow as BA56 from Johannesburg early this morning, however a technical issue became apparent which prevented the aircraft from operating an outbound service today. It was decided to switch BA55 London Heathrow – Johannesburg to Boeing 747-400 operation this evening.

QANTAS A380 VH-OQC, which has been under maintenance at Manila since June 29th, returned to service this evening operating QF128 Hong Kong – Sydney.

Following the earlier A380 technical issue at Mauritius, Airbus A380-861 MSN116, Emirates A6-EEG, positioned Dubai – Mauritius this evening in to operate the delayed EK702 Mauritius – Dubai after midnight as EK702D.

Emirates A380 A6-EEM Auckland Flight Switch.

Emirates A380 A6-EEM arrived into Auckland as EK406 from Dubai and Melbourne (depart Dubai 8th August) this afternoon. However due to the late arrival of EK412 from Dubai and Sydney, / the aircraft was switched to operate back to Dubai as EK413 Auckland – Sydney – Dubai. If the inbound EK412 aircraft had been used to operate EK413 it would have missed curfew at Sydney.

Emirates A380 A6-EDP EK412 Brisbane Diversion.

Airbus A380-861 MSN077, Emirates A6-EDP, operating the Dubai – Sydney sector of EK412 Dubai – Sydney – Auckland (depart Dubai 8th August) diverted via Brisbane this morning due to fog at Sydney, to make a complete routing of Dubai – Brisbane – Sydney – Auckland. Due to the late arrival in Auckland the aircraft then operated EK407 Auckland – Melbourne – Dubai.

QANTAS A380 VH-OQJ QF1 Singapore Medical Diversion.

QANTAS A380 VH-OQJ operating the Sydney – Dubai sector of QF1 Sydney – Dubai – London Heathrow diverted via Singapore this evening due to a medical emergency on board. The complete routing was therefore Sydney – Singapore – Dubai – London Heathrow.

Following the technical issue it encountered on 2nd August, Emirates A380 A6-EDT departed Hong Kong in the early hours of this morning operating the delayed EK385 Hong Kong – Bangkok – Dubai of 2nd August as EK385D.

Emirates A380 A6-EDT operated EK384 Dubai – Bangkok – Hong Kong this morning, however the return EK385 has been delayed overnight due to a technical issue with the aircraft.
