Airbus A380-861 MSN213, Emirates A6-EUB, preparing to operate the Singapore – Dubai sector of EK405 Melbourne – Singapore – Dubai (depart Melbourne 29th March) was being pushed back at Singapore when its right wingtip was in collission with the left wing of Scoot Boeing 787-9 9V-OJA. The flight sector was cancelled and passengers reaccommodated on other services.

QANTAS A380 VH-OQA Continues from Muscat.

Following its diversion yesterday, QANTAS A380 VH-OQA departed Muscat this afternoon continuing the delayed QF9 Melbourne – Dubai sector of 24th March, routing Muscat – Dubai as QF9D. The aircraft then operated this morning’s delayed QF2 Dubai – Sydney sector.

Emirates A380 A6-EDN Takes Over EK376.

Following the earlier technical return of EK376 Dubai – Bangkok to the gate, the service was subsequently operated with a ten hour delay this afternoon by A380 A6-EDN.

Etihad A380 A6-API Delivered.

Airbus A380-861 MSN233, Etihad A6-API, was delivered Finkenwerder – Abu Dhabi this morning as EY9005. The aircraft is in 2P/9F/70J/415Y configuration and Facets of Abu Dhabi livery. This brings the Etihad A380 fleet up to nine aircraft.

Emirates A380 A6-EUP was delivered Finkenwerder – Dubai this fternoon as EK7380. The aircraft is the fourth Emirates A380-842 with Rolls-Royce Trent 972 engines. The aircraft is in 58J/557Y configuration. This brings the A380 fleet up to 94 aircraft.

Following the technical issue it encountered yesterday, Airbus A380-861 MSN042, Emirates A6-EDM, positioned Kuwait – Dubai this afternoon as EK2854.

Airbus A380-861 MSN011, Emirates A6-EDA, operating the Melbourne – Dubai sector of EK407 Auckland – Melbourne – Dubai (depart Auckland 24th March) diverted via Muscat this morning due to long weather based hold times at Dubai. The complete routing was therefore Auckland – Melbourne – Muscat – Dubai.

Emirates A380 A6-EOJ operating EK303 Shanghai Pudong – Dubai (depart Shanghai Pudong 24th March) diverted via Muscat this morning due to long weather based hold times at Dubai.

QANTAS A380 VH-OQA operating the Melbourne – Dubai sector of QF9 Melbourne – Dubai – London Heathrow (depart Melbourne 24th March) diverted to Muscat this morning due to long weather based hold times at Dubai. However the aircract sustained bird strike damage on approach to Muscat and will therefore nightstop. The onward sector to London Heathrow was cancelled along with today’s QF2 London Heathrow – Dubai sector.

QANTAS A380 VH-OQB QF9 Muscat Medical Diversion.

QANTAS A380 VH-OQB operating the Melbourne – Dubai sector of QF9 Melbourne – Dubai – London Heathrow (depart Melbourne 17th March) diverted via Muscat early this morning due to a medical emergency on board.

Emirates A380 A6-EEB EK18 London Heathrow Technical Diversion.

Emirates A380 A6-EEB operating EK18 Manchester – Dubai stopped the climb at 9, 000 ft this afternoon when it was unable to retract the landing gear, entered a hold close to Wakefield to work checklists and then diverted to London Heathrow, still at 9,000 ft. The flight was subsequently cancelled.

Etihad A380 A6-APA Abu Dhabi Test Flight.

Following its technical return to Abu Dhabi in the early hours of this morning, Etihad A380 A6-APA operated a brief Abu Dhabi – Abu Dhabi test flight as EY9012 late tonight at a maximum altitude of 3,000 ft.

Emirates A380 A6-EEF Returns from Dubai Maintenance.

Airbus A380-861 MSN135, Emirates A6-EEF,, which has been under maintenance at Dubai since 18th February, returned to service this morning operating EK418 Dubai – Bangkok – Sydney – Auckland.

Following the technical return of last night’s EY460 Abu Dhabi – Melbourne to Abu Dhabi, the delayed service was operated as EY460A this morning by A380 A6-APG.

Etihad A380 A6-APA operating EY460 Abu Dhabi – Melbourne stopped the climb at 5,000 ft tonight due to a technical issue, then entered a hold to work checklists before climbing to 10,000 ft via two lenghty holds before returning to Abu Dhabi for a safe landing three and a half hours after departure.

Emirates A380 A6-EUX made its first flight from Toulouse today wearing test registration F-WWSG and positioned Toulouse – Finkenwerder.

AIrbus A380-842 MSN022, QANTAS VH-OQC, arrived into London Heathrow early this afternoon as QF9 from Melbourne and Dubai and immediately turned around to operate QF10 London Heathrow – Dubai – Melbourne.

Emirates A380 A6-EDE Returns from Dubai Maintenance, Goes Tech.

Airbus A380-861 MSN017, Emirates A6-EDE,, which has been under maintenance at Dubai since 31st January, returned to service this afternoon operating EK207 Dubai – New York JFK, however the return EK202 was cancelled due to a technical issue.
