Emirates A380 A6-EOH Operates Delayed Sao Paulo Service.

Following the technical return of EK261 Dubai – Sao Paulo to Dubai yesterday, the delayed service was operated early this afternoon as EK261D by Emirates A380 A6-EOH. The aircraft will operate today’s delayed EK262 Sao Paulo – Dubai tomorrow as EK262D.

QANTAS Announce Melbourne – Perth – London Heathrow Schedule.

QANTAS today officially announced the schedule for its Melbourne – Perth – London Heathrow Boeing 787-9 service to commence on 24th March 2018. The service will take over the QF9/QF10 flight numbers from the withdrawn Melbourne – Dubai – London Heathrow A380 service. Schedules for the new service are as follows:

QF9 Melbourne 1520 – 1720 Perth 1850 – London Heathrow 0510+1

QF10 London Heathrow 1330 – 1315+1 Perth 1445+1 – Melbourne 2110+1.

QANTAS Announce End of Melbourne – Dubai – London Heathrow Service.

QANTAS today announced that it will cease operation of the QF9/QF10 Melbourne – Dubai – London Heathrow A380 service with the final departure from Melbourne will operate on 23rd March 2018 with the final departure from London operating on 24th March 2018. No firm plans have been revealed for the freed A380 frames.

Emirates Announce Melbourne A380 Upgauge.

Emirates today announced that the EK408/EK408 Dubai – Melbourne rotation will switch from Boeing 777-300ER to A380 operating from 25th March 2018. This will give Melbourne 3 x daily A380 service.

Emirates Announce Madrid A380 Upgauge.

Emirates today announced that the EK143/EK144 Dubai – Madrid rotation will switch from Boeing 777-300ER to A380 operating from 1st September 2017. This will give Madrid double daily A380 service.

Emirates A380 A6-EOL EK261 Dubai Technical Return.

Emirates A380 A6-EOL operating EK261 Dubai – Sao Paulo was over three hours into the flight this morning when it turned back to Dubai for a safe landing due to a technical issue. Passengers have been accommodated overnight.

QANTAS A380 VH-OQK Operates Delayed QF9.

Following the technical issue it encountered last night, QANTAS A380 VH-OQK departed Melbourne this evening operating yesterday’s delayed QF9 Melbourne – Dubai – London Heathrow as QF9D.

QANTAS A380 VH-OQK Melbourne Technical Issue.

QANTAS A380 VH-OQK arrived into Melbourne this evening as QF10 from London Heathrow and Dubai, however the return QF9 Melbourne – Dubai – London Heathrow was delayed overnight due to a technical issue.

Emirates A380 A6-EUL Enters Dubai Maintenance.

Emirates A380 A6-EUL entered the Dubai maintenance facility this evening after arriving as EK242 from Toronto. The aircraft had burst a tyre on departure from Dubai on the outbound EK241 causing damage to the wheel well and was cleared in Toronto for a single flight back to Dubai.

Emirates A380 A6-EUB Returns from Dubai Maintenance.

Airbus A380-861 MSN213, Emirates A6-EUB,, which has been under repair at Dubai since 5th April following a ground collision at Singapore on 30th March, returned to service in the early hours of this morning operating EK701 Dubai – Mauritius.

QANTAS A380 VH-OQF QF94 Sydney Diversion and Lightning Strike.

QANTAS A380 VH-OQF operating QF94 Los Angeles – Melbourne (depart Los Angeles 7th April) diverted via Sydney for fuel this morning due to long hold times at Melbourne. The aircraft then encountered a lightning strike on the Sydney – Melbourne sector causing a 24 hour delay to today’s QF93 Melbourne – Los Angeles.

Airbus A380-842 MSN242, Emirates A6-EUY, made its first flight from Toulouse today wearing test registration F-WWSX and positioned Toulouse – Finkenwerder.

QANTAS A380 VH-OQF Operates Delayed QF1.

QANTAS A380 VH-OQF operated yesterday’s delayed QF1 Sydney – Dubai – London Heathrow this morning as QF1D. The aircraft arrived into London Heathrow late at night and turned around immediately to operate today’s scheduled QF2 London Heathrow – Dubai – Sydney.
