Airbus A380-861 MSN225, Qatar Airways A7-API wearing test registration F-WWAO, made its first flight from Toulouse today and positioned Toulouse – Finkenwerder.

QANTAS A380 VH-OQC Returns from Dubai.

Following the technical issues it encountered at Dubai yesterday and on 24th July, A380-842 MSN022, QANTAS VH-OQC departed Dubai late this morning operating the delayed QF2 Dubai – Sydney sector of 24th July as QF2D.

British Airways A380 G-XLEI BA287 Vancouver Technical Diversion.

Airbus 380-841 MSN173, British Airways G-XLEI, operating BA287 London Heathrow – San Francisco operated via Vancouver this afternoon due to aircraft defects. The aircraft initially climbed to 38,000 ft but a technical issue required it to descent to 30,000 ft two hours into the flight and the increased fuel burn required the diversion. However due to the issue the flight was terminated at Vancouver and BA286 San Francisco – London Heathrow was cancelled.

QANTAS A380 VH-OQC Second Dubai Technical Issue.

Following the technical issue it encountered yesterday, QANTAS A380 VH-OQC was scheduled to depart Dubai late this morning operating yesterday’s delayed QF2 Dubai – Sydney sector as QF2D. However following a three hour delay at the gate the aircraft returned to the stand due to a further technical issue. Passengers have been accommodated overnight for a second night.

AIrbus A380-842 MSN055, QANTAS VH-OQI arrived into Dubai this morning as QF2 from London Heathrow (depart London Heathrow 23rd July), however instead of operating the onward sector to Sydney, following the earlier A380 technical issue at Dubai it instead turned around to operate today’s delayed QF9 Dubai – London Heathrow sector. Today’s QF2 Dubai – Sydney sector has been delayed overnight.

QANTAS A380 VH-OQF operating QF7 Sydney – Dallas-Fort Worth was approximately three hours into the flight this afternoon when it turned back to Sydney for a safe landing due to a technical issue. The flight has been delayed overnight.

Emirates will amend the EK418 Dubai – Bangkok – Sydney – Auckland service from tomorrow to operate as a Dubai – Bangkok – Sydney service only. Today’s final Dubai departure working through to Auckland was operated by A380 A6-EDN.
