The aircraft was able to continue after approximately two hours on the ground, however after arrival at New York JFK the return EK202 was cancelled due to a further technical issue.
Following its overnight delay due to strike action yesterday, Airbus A380-841 MSN087, Thai Airways HS-TUA, departed Frankfurt this morning operating yesterday’s delayed TG923 Frankfurt – Bangkok as TG923D.
Airbus A380-842 MSN234, Emirates A6-EUS, operated EK61 Dubai – Hamburg this afternoon, however the return EK62 has been delayed overnight due to strike action by staff at Hamburg.
Airbus A380-841 MSN114, Malaysia Airlines 9M-MNF, operated a Kuala Lumpur – Jeddah religious pilgrimage rotation this morning as MH8000/MH8001.
Airbus A380-841 MSN121, British Airways G-XLEB, positioned London Heathrow – London Gatwick as BA9171 this evening. This is to be in place to position London Gatwick – Manila for maintenance in the early hours of tomorrow. The required arrival time in Manila meaning a middle of the night departure from London which is not possible from London Heathrow.
Airbus A380-841 MSN069, Lufthansa D-AIMG, which has been under maintenance at Guangzhou Baiyun since December 13th 2018, positioned Guangzhou Baiyun – Bangkok as LH9921 in the early hours of this morning then returned to service late tonight operating LH773 Bangkok – Frankfurt. The aircraft has been repainted from Lufthansa 1984 into Lufthansa 2017 livery.
