Airbus A380-841 MSN054, China Southern Airlines B-6138, operated last night’s delayed CZ3107 Guangzhou Baiyun – Beijing Capital in the early hours of this morning in place of the usual Airbus A330-200/300.
Airbus A380-841 MSN088, China Southern Airlines B-6139, which has been under maintenance at Guangzhou Baiyun since 18th December 2017, undertook a Guangzhou Baiyun – Guangzhou Baiyun test flight early this morning as CZ6139.
Airbus A380-861 MSN013, Emirates A6-EDB, overnighted at Sydney after arriving as EK414 from Sydney yesterday, however its scheduled return to Dubai as EK415 early this morning was cancelled due to a technical issue.
Airbus A380-841 MSN120, China Southern Airlines B-6140, positioned Beijing Capital – Tianjin Binhai as CZ8753 in the early hours of this morning in order to operate training circuits as CZ888. The aircraft then positioned back to Beijing Capital, again as CZ8753.
Airbus A380-841 MSN251, Singapore Airlines 9V-SKW, was delivered Toulouse – Singapore in the early hours of this morning as SQ8898. The aircraft is in 6F/78J/44W/343Y configuration, becoming the third aircraft in this configuration featuring new First and Business Class products. It carries standard Singapore Airlines livery. This the 22nd A380 delivered to the airline and brings the active fleet up to 18 aircraft.
Airbus A380-842 MSN029, QANTAS VH-OQF, which has been under maintenance at Dubai since 23rd March, positioned Dubai – Sydney this morning as QF6012. The aircraft has been repainted from QANTAS New Roo (2006) into QANTAS Silver Roo (2017) livery and is the first A380 to wear this scheme.
Airbus A380-841 MSN161, British Airways G-XLEG, which has been under maintenance at Manila since 26th February, positioned Manila – Angeles City Clark as BA9170 in the early hours of this morning. The aircraft continued Angeles City Clark – Singapore early in the evening as BA9171 then returned to service operating BA12 Singapore – London Heathrow.
Portuguese wet-lease specialist Hi Fly today confirmed that it will acquire two former Singapore Airlines A380s to enter service in the middle of this year. The aircraft are expected to be MSN003 (formerly 9V-SKA) and MSN005 (formerly 9V-SKB) and will be operated by the company’s Maltese subsidiary Hi Fly Malta.
Airbus A380-841 MSN094, Malaysia Airlines 9M-MNE, which has been under maintenance at Kuala Lumpur since 20th March, returned to service this afternoon operating a Kuala Lumpur – Medina religious pilgrimage rotation as MH8204/MH8205.
Following its diversion on 30th March, Airbus A380-861 MSN043, Air France F-HPJC, departed Beijing Capital in the early hours of this morning operating yesterday’s delayed AF125 Beijing Capital – Paris CDG as AF125A. The outbound Boeing 777-200ER service which should have supplied the aircraft for this service, AF128 on 30th March was cancelled.
Airbus A380-861 MSN172, Emirates A6-EOG, operating EK91 Dubai – Milan Malpensa diverted to Zurich this evening due to weather at Milan Malpensa. The aircraft later continued Zurich – Milan Malpensa as EK91D.
Airbus A380-861 MSN043, Air France F-HPJC, operating AF116 Paris CDG – Shanghai Pudong (depart Paris CDG 29th March), diverted to Beijing Capital this afternoon having gone around at Shanghai Pudong due to weather.
Airbus A380-861 MSN025, Emirates A6-EDH, operating EK381 Hong Kong – Dubai stopped the climb at 18,000 ft in the early hours of this morning due to a technical issue and returned to Hong Kong for a safe landing. The aircraft departed again late tonight operating the service as EK381D.
Airbus A380-861 MSN182, Emirates A6-EOJ, which has been under maintenance at Dubai since 16th March, returned to service this afternoon operating EK51 Dubai – Munich. The aircraft has been fitted with green Expo 2020 decals.
Airbus A380-842 MSN050, QANTAS VH-OQH, operated yesterday’s delayed QF7 Sydney – Dallas-Fort Worth this afternoon as QF7D. The aircraft then turned around to operate today’s scheduled QF8 Dallas-Fort Worth – Sydney.
Airbus A380-841 MSN089, Malaysia Airlines 9M-MND, which has been under maintenance at Kuala Lumpur since 20th March, returned to service this afternoon operating a Kuala Lumpur – Jeddah religious pilgrimage rotation this afternoon as MH8002/MH8003.
Airbus A380-861 MSN117, Air France F-HPJJ, operated the AF72/AF69 Paris CDG – Los Angeles rotation this afternoon. This flight was previously a Boeing 777-200ER/300ER service but will now see regular A380 operation.
Emirates introduced an additional Sydney – Dubai service this afternoon with Airbus A380-861 MSN056, Emirates A6-EDN, operating the inaugural EK417. The aircraft had arrived into Sydney as EK418 from Dubai and Bangkok.
Following the technical issue it encountered yesterday, Airbus A380-842 MSN014, QANTAS VH-OQA, departed Dubai late this morning operating yesterday’s delayed QF2 Dubai – Sydney sector. This was the final scheduled QANTAS departure from Dubai.
Asiana Airlines switched operation of the OZ741/OZ742 Seoul Incheon – Bangkok rotation from A330-300/Boeing 777-200ER to Airbus A380 operation today with Airbus A380-841 MSN152, Asiana Airlines HL7625, operating today’s services.
