Airbus A380-861 MSN138, Emirates A6-EEP, which was in storage at Dubai World Central from 16th September – 16th October, returned to service in the early hours of this morning operating EK414 Dubai – Sydney.
Airbus A380-841 MSN061, Lufthansa D-AIME, arrived into Beijing Capital this morning as LH922 from Munich (depart Munich 15th October), however this evening’s return LH921 was cancelled due to a technical issue.
Airbus A380-841 MSN081, Malaysia Airlines 9M-MNB, which has been under maintenance/in storage at Kuala Lumpur since 5th October, returned to service late tonight operating MH66 Kuala Lumpur – Seoul Incheon.
Following the technical issue it encountered on 7th October, Airbus A380-841 MSN078, Malaysia Airlines 9M-MNA, operated the delayed MH88/MH89 Kuala Lumpur – Tokyo Narita rotation of 7th October in the early hours of this morning as MH88D/MH89D.
AIrbus A380-861 MSN113, Emirates A6-EEF, preparing to operate EK48 Frankfurt – Dubai returned to the stand at Frankfurt late this evening due to a technical issue. The flight was subsequently cancelled.
Airbus A380-842 MSN050, QANTAS VH-OQH, operating QF94 Los Angeles – Melbourne (depart Los Angeles 3rd October) diverted via Brisbane early this morning. This is reported as being due to a medical emergency on board.
Airbus A380-841 MSN010, withdrawn Singapore Airlines 9V-SKE, which has been under maintenance at Singapore since April 23rd, positioned Singapore – Lourdes Tarbes for storage as SQ8898 early this morning.
Following the technical issue it encountered on 2nd October, Airbus A380-841 MSN088, China Southern Airlines B-6139, departed Los Angeles this evening operating the delayed CZ328 Los Angeles – Guangzhou Baiyun of 2nd October as CZ1328.
Airbus A380-841 MSN088, China Southern Airlines B-6139, arrived into Los Angeles this evening as CZ327 from Guangzhou Baiyun, howewer the return CZ328 has been delayed at least overnight due to a technical issue.
Airbus A380-861 MSN115, Air France F-HPJI, operated the AF72/AF69 Paris CDG – Los Angeles rotation this afternoon. This was formerly a Boeing 777-300ER service but will not see a mix of A380s and Boeing 777-200ERs.
Airbus A380-842 MSN239, Emirates A6-EUV, operated the EK787/EK788 Dubai – Accra rotation this morning in place of the usual Boeing 777-300ER to mark the opening of the new Terminal 3 at Accra airport. The continuing EK787/EK788 Accra – Abidjan rotation was not scheduled today.
Etihad switched operation of the EY37/EY38 Abu Dhabi – Paris CDG rotation from A330-300/Boeing 777-300ER operation to A380 operation today with Airbus A380-861 MSN191, Etihad A6-APE, operating the inaugural A380 services. Etihad will now operate double daily A380s on the route.
Following its technical return to Bangkok in the early hours of yesterday morning, Airbus A380-841 MSN087, Thai Airways HS-TUA, undertook a Bangkok – Bangkok test flight early this evening then returned to service late tonight operating TG622 Bangkok – Osaka Kansai.
Following the technical return of TG622 Bangkok – Osaka Kansai (depart Bangkok 28th September) in the early hours of this morning, the delayed service was operated late this morning by Airbus A380-841 MSN093, Thai Airways HS-TUB, as TG6229.
