Airbus A380-842 MSN015, QANTAS VH-OQB, operating QF8 Dallas-Fort Worth – Sydney (depart Dallas-Fort Worth 17th February) diverted to Brisbane early this morning. After two and a half hours on the ground the aircraft positioned Brisbane – Sydney as QF6002.
Airbus A380-861 MSN158, Emirates A6-EEZ, positioned Dubai – Dubai World Central for storage early this afternoon as EK2551. The aircraft had been under maintenance at Dubai since 8th February following a technical issue in Munich on 5th February.
Airbus A380-841 MSN044, Lufthansa D-AIMC, which has been under maintenance at Guangzhou Baiyun since 24th January, positioned Guangzhou Baiyun – Frankfurt in the early hours of this morning as LH9921. The aircraft has been repainted from Lufthansa 1984 into Lufthansa 2017 livery.
Airbus A380-861 MSN086, Emirates A6-EDS, which has been in storage at Dubai World Central since 15th January, positioned Dubai World Central – Dubai this afternoon as EK2554 and immediately entered the Dubai maintenance facility.
Airbus A380-861 MSN171, Emirates A6-EOF, which has been under maintenance at Dubai since 20th January having previously been in storage at Dubai World Central since 23rd December 2018, returned to service in the early hours of this morning operating EK316 Dubai – Osaka Kansai.
Following the technical return of BA27 London Heathrow – Hong Kong to London Heathrow yesterday evening, the delayed flight was operated this evening by AIrbus A380-841 MSN144, British Airways G-XLED, as BA27D and will operate today’s BA28 Hong Kong – London Heathrow tomorrow as BA28D.
Following its diversion yesterday, Airbus A380-861 MSN046, Emirates A6-EDL, departed Manchester this afternoon continuing yesterday’s delayed EK15 Dubai – London Gatwick, routing Manchester – London Gatwick. The aircraft then operated yesterday’s delayed EK16 London Gatwick – Dubai.
Following its diversion yesterday morning, Airbus A380-861 MSN233, Etihad A6-API, departed Colombo in the early hours of this morning continuing the diverted EY454 Abu Dhabi – Sydney of 7th February, routing Colombo – Sydney as EY454A. The aircraft then operated yesterday’s delayed EY455 Sydney – Abu Dhabi as EY455A.
Airbus A380-841 MSN095, British Airways G-XLEA, operating BA27 London Heathrow – Hong Kong stopped the climb at 12,000ft this evening due to a technical issue, then positioned off the coast at Clacton to burn fuel before returning to London Heathrow.
Airbus A380-861 MSN233, Etihad A6-API, operating EY454 Abu Dhabi – Sydney (depart Abu Dhabi 7th February) diverted to Colombo early this morning due to a medical emergency. It was then clear that the aircraft would not reach Sydney before curfew and so the flight will remain in Colombo until the early hours of tomorrow morning.
Airbus A380-842 MSN027, QANTAS VH-OQE, operating the London Heathrow – Singapore sector of QF2 London Heathrow – Singapore – Sydney stopped the climb at 8,000ft this evening due to a pressurisation issue, circled over the English channel and then returned to London Heathrow for a safe landing.
Following the technical issue it encountered on 5th February, Airbus A380-861 MSN158, Emirates A6-EEZ, positioned Munich – Dubai this evening as EK2560 and immediately entered the Dubai maintenance facility.
Airbus A380-861 MSN112, Emirates A6-EEE, which has been under maintenance at Dubai since 3rd December 2018, returned to service in the early hours of this morning operating EK7 Dubai – London Heathrow.
Following the technical issue it encountered yesterday, Airbus A380-842 MSN074, QANTAS VH-OQL, departed London Heathrow this evening operating today’s scheduled QF2 London Heathrow – Singapore – Sydney.
Airbus A380-842 MSN055, QANTAS VH-OQI, arrived into London Heathrow this morning as QF1 from Sydney and Singapore, then returned this evening operating yesterday’s delayed QF2 London Heathrow – Singapore – Sydney as QF2D.
Airbus A380-841 MSN089, Malaysia Airlines 9M-MND, which has been under maintenance/in storage at Kuala Lumpur since 31st October 2018, returned to service late tonight operating MH66 Kuala Lumpur – Seoul Incheon.
